"ACT UP Political Funerals: Using Radical Emotion"
For my Archival Outreach course I developed an exhibit on ACT UP political funerals using ARCGIS StoryMaps. This exhibit can be found here.

C21 Story Cart Database
Through my work with the Center for 21st Century Studies (C21), I was able to build an Omeka website featuring the stories collected by their Story Cart. The Story Cart traveled around Milwaukee in the summer of 2023 and gathered oral histories from participants that explored their relationship to food. Publication of this site is pending.

"Chinese Silk: Big Business with a Small Worm" Exhibit
I developed a exhibit around a pair of Chinese silk sleeve cuffs (huan xiu) from the late 19th century. This exhibit focused on the historical Chinese silk industry during the late Qing Dynasty through the interplay of humans and silkworms.
As a part of this project, I presented information relating to this exhibit three times at the Milwaukee Public Museum.

Object Research Project
I was assigned a pair of Chinese silk sleeve cuffs (huan xiu) that were donated to the Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM) in 1906. This object had limited provenance and associated information. I was able to identify the object, information on the donor, and compiled a report on the object to be kept in association with it at the MPM.

Exhibition Evaluation
My exhibition evaluation focused on "The People of Northeast Wisconsin" at the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The exhibition was evaluated on its focus, the information it presented, how information was communicated explicitly and implicitly, and the use of objects within it. The report that resulted from this evaluation also explored how this exhibition was developed, the timeline of development, and any past evaluations that had been conducted in conjunction with this exhibition.

Visitor Observation
I conducted a nonobtrusive visitor observation project at the Milwaukee Public Museum. I tracked how visitors interacted with an exhibition without letting them know I was observing them. This involved timing how long the visitors were in the exhibition, noting which exhibits they were drawn to, which paths they took, and noting any reactions they had to the exhibition. My observations were then compiled into a report.

6.5 Minutes With... C21 Podcast
As a part of my duties with the Center for 21st Century Studies, I assisted in the editing of podcasts for publication. I edited a total of five episodes. This involved utilizing audio editing software to create short-form episodes out of interviews conducted by the Deputy Director of the Center.
For an example of my work: 6.5 Minutes with ... Rayna Andrews
Strategic Planning: Emile H. Mathis Gallery - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
To assist the Mathis Gallery, a museum located on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus, in their strategic planning efforts, our class conducted evaluations. I managed the External Evaluation team which was in charge of evaluating the presence of the Mathis Gallery within Milwaukee and to identify potential partnerships. My responsibilities included problem solving with team members, assigning responsibilities, tracking project timelines, compiling a comprehensive report of our team's findings, and presenting this information to the Mathis Gallery.

"Gathering Places" Project and Digital Exhibition
As a co-researcher, I created a digital exhibition of the Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid as a part of the larger "Gathering Places" project overseen by Dr. Christopher Cantwell. This process involved touring the site, conducting historical research on the congregation, and conducting an oral history with a congregant. For the final project, my co-researcher and I wrote a historical report, curated images to include in the exhibition hosted by Omeka, and utilized Neatline to create an interactive timeline of the history of the congregation within the city of Milwaukee. We were also responsible for creating a podcast-like recording in Hindenburg that utilized our oral history and field recording to give site visitors a feel of the congregation. https://liblamp.uwm.edu/omeka/gatheringplaces/collections/show/21
